Pośpiech i niedociągnięcia
Zdjęcia i filmy, które do tej pory docierały do nas z toru w Iniach nie było do końca obiektywnym obrazem. Dziś dzięki osobie, która kryje się za Twitterowym nickiem @F1PaddockPass i od rana jest na miejscu wydarzeń, mogę zaprezentować Wam pierwsze zdjęcia z toru BIC. Oprócz cudownej infrastruktury widać również wiele niedociągnięć oraz pośpiech, który towarzyszy organizatorom. Szczerze, to takich zdjęć z toru F1 jeszcze nie widziałem.

Pojawiają się informacje, że organizatorzy chcą wybudować drugi tor w Bombaju. W padoku od razu zrodził się żart, że dobrze by było gdyby skończyli ten pierwszy zanim zabiorą się za kolejną inwestycję. Tor jest raczej bez zarzutów czego nie można powiedzieć o infrastrukturze przeznaczonej dla kibiców.

Po co miałby być drugi tor? Z tego, co się orientuję, to mamy przesyt nowych torów proszących się o wejście do F1 i wątpię, żeby udało się zorganizować dwa wyścigi w Indiach. Ogólnie mnie to martwi, bo nowe obiekty mogą nam wypchnąć z kalendarza mało dochodowe klasyki…

Bez przesady. Zdjęcia nie okazują nic nadzwyczajnego. Pamiętać należy, dla jakiej klienteli budowane są trybuny. To nie jest Monaco to są Indie. W Korei w ostatnim sezonie było chyba jeszcze gorzej i co? Surowy beton schodów? A dokąd te schody wiodą? Kto będzie z nich korzystał przez następne 12 miesięcy?

Wg mnie tor w Indiach to jakiś poroniony pomysł. Ten kraj jest bardziej skrajny finansowo niż Rosja, dzieci w niektórych regionach są tak samo głodne i brudne jak w najgorszych regionach Afryki, a rząd Indii wespół z magnatami budują tor z homologacją FIA?!
Proszę sobie wyobrazić, ile więcej dobra te pieniądze by zrobiły, gdyby przeznaczono je np. na dożywianie dzieci, czy utworzenie nowych miejsc pracy…
Jestem tym oburzony, ale to moje zdanie.
Wracając do toru – jego układ wydaje się ciekawy, są różnice wysokości, nachylenia, szybkie partie, wolne partie – zobaczymy jak to wyjdzie…

Odpowiadanie na RVS, to nie Indian GP nie jest obsługiwany przez rząd. Jego prywatną venture firm indyjskich. I FYI, Indie więcej ludzi może pozwolić sobie na wypadek niż cała Europa razem wzięta. Przy okazji, jestem Indian i użyłem Google translate.

Hello Phil ! Great being on F1 Talks. Yes, I was at the Delhi Circuit this week for the inauguration. The track looks fine, albeit a lot of dust. The organizers say the track would be cleaned two days before the race as doing it any earlier would mean dust accumulating again, as a lot of construction is happening near the track. The track looks fantastic with all its elevation changes and you can see almost three fourths of the circuit from the main grandstand! Quick question: Is this a Polish site?? And thank you for the lovely pictures

What are feelings in Indian society before the race? Will it be a kind of big national event or something which is known just in small group of people – F1 fans?

I think that I won’t exaggerate if I say, that F1talks is something like ScarbsF1, James Allen of Joe Saward blog. For me, the best site about Formula One written in polish.
As far as I’m concerned the Buddh International Circuit is a little bit tricky. Firstly we have long straights and high speeds (as I checked in F1 2011
with DRS and KERS it can be even 320-325 kph ca. 200 mph) and high-speeds turns like T5&T6 where you need a lot of downforce. Turn4 known as hairpin should be perfect place to overtake after very hard braking. I hope that there’ll a lot of blocked wheels and brake lockouts 
I don’t like wide waysides and roadsides but but have to remember, that it was designed by Herman Tilke. Summing up, I can’t wait to see first cars on track on friday at FP1

. I’m a big fan of Kubica myself and I found the updates on his health to be very informative.
Yes, the Buddh circuit is meant to be a high speed circuit. I think, its the second fastest after Monza in terms of average speed. Even I don’t prefer roads which are too wide.. it gives a very artificial feel to the race. I think the redeeming factor would be the elevation changes.. they should make for some interesting races!

This is amazing how one person can connect people form totally different countries and cultures, let’s hope he will be able to comeback to Formula One and make his destiny done. I’ve always tought that he was born to be F1 World Champion
And now only one word about circuit – Track looks nice, fast, interesting,safe and I hope that sunday race will be also safe and there won’t be any problems and serious accidents. We had two motosport sundays with the biggest price for passion paid with deaths of Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli. Fingers crossed for doing everything easy and good

Responding to Santos112, most of the Indian public in general do not even know what formula one is! But, there’s a small percentage of middle class Indians who actively follow the sport. Remember we are talking of 1.2 billion people.. and a small fraction is a LOT of people.. statistically speaking its 35 million viewers. That’s double the number of viewers from Europe put together! Another thing, the government here, does not recognize F1 as a sport, so there is absolutely no help from the government to the organizers, who are private firms. The rural population here knows nothing absolutely about F1 while they are fanatic about cricket, while the urban population, from cities like Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai are crazy about Formula one.
The atmosphere here is electric.. F1 adverts from companies like vodafone, airtel, Jaypee, TATA are all over the media! We had a show run by Mclaren and RBR and there were huge crowds… So that’s how I see it. While 90% of Indians are ignorant of the sport, 10% are VERY much interested.. and that 10% means a lot!

That number sounds fantastic. And it is fantastic. In Poland we have about 38-39 million people… Damn!

I love Vijay Mallya.. why? Because he knows how to live his life! I remember I was returning from work late at night, and when I reached a traffic signal, a cavalcade of cars just passed by… I hit the brakes just in time before I hit a Bentley! And to my surprise it was none other than Vijay Mallya driving it
Along with him were 4 really beautiful girls and all of them were VERY drunk! That’s how a billionaire ought to live 
VJ has done a great job with Force India.. In 3 years the team has progressed phenomenally. And if the team progresses the same way, I’m sure we’ll see them on the podium. I think he’s done a lot for Indian motorsport, especially since the government provides no tax breaks or incentives to motorsport events or drivers.

Rafal, yes I’ve booked my tickets for the main grandstand. It was very expensive and I had to save for an entire year to afford this race, and its been just one year since I started working
I’m extremely excited about the race, so are all my friends since we’ve been waiting for this for years. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post or share photos online, I’ll have to confirm the regulations, or else might end up in touble.
